Q-Clear™ is designed to be portable with the same power and high performance of systems twice the size. Designed and manufactured by the same scientists that invented Alexandrite 755 nm. The Q-Clear™ is a full featured NdYAG 1064 nm wavelength dermatologic laser with the added ability to frequency double some laser energy to 532nm which provides for treatment of conditions similar to that of a pulse dye laser (585nm wavelength).

The laser is available in either “Q-switched” or “Long Pulse” configurations. Q-switching can provide superior effect with exceptional patient comfort. Long pulse lasers typically produce pulse durations around 1/10th of a second with the same amount of power delivered in a Q-switched laser in about 9 billionths of a second. This produces an intense photo biologic effect with additional shock wave effect.

Nd:YAG lasers operate in both pulsed and continuous mode. Pulsed Nd:YAG lasers are typically operated in the so called Q-switching mode: An optical switch is inserted in the laser cavity waiting for a maximum population inversion in the neodymium ions before it opens. Then the light wave can run through the cavity, depopulating the excited laser medium at maximum population inversion.
