Light Age, Inc. pioneered the development and commercial introduction tunable solid-state lasers. Its scientists invented the alexandrite laser and most of its advanced features. Our PAL™ Lasers can be operated as a 193 nm laser, a 248 nm laser or, with frequency converters, at nearly any other wavelength or continuous wavelength region from the mid-IR to the VUV. They are the ideal system for laboratory research. PAL™ laser systems are used around the globe in some of the most inhospitable and inaccessible laser environments to do some of the most advanced and challenging research possible. From measuring mesospheric polar temperatures and wind speeds, to performing the highest resolution spectroscopy of muonium in a particle accelerator and plasma diagnostics in a tokomak, or generating highly customized light for advanced surgeries and for producing state-of-the-art optics and semiconductors, these systems routinely perform in applications where nothing else can.
