Position: Laser Sales Engineer

The Company:

Light Age, Inc. is a rapidly growing high technology company that designs, develops and manufactures advanced solid-state laser sources for medical, scientific and industrial applications. Light Age is located in a modern facility in Somerset, NJ, a scenic, suburban setting 35 miles southwest of New York City and 20 miles north of Princeton. The Position:

Light Age is seeking an inside sales engineer to increase sales of its lasers and laser accessories. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Selling advanced alexandrite laser products and accessories; providing customers with technical support; selling service contracts and service components; tracking and managing work orders and work flow for service items; selling Raman converters; and providing technical support for marketing and advertising. Work hours are somewhat flexible but a minimum of 40 hours per week is required.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently but also as a team player. A BS or higher in optics, electrical engineering, applied physics, chemistry or related areas is required with experience in high technology sales and marketing, preferred. A qualified candidate will have at least 3 years experience in marketing and sales. Experience with lasers and associated markets is a plus. Good written and oral communication skills are desirable as are supervisory and computer skills. English required. Foreign language a plus.

Compensation:

Base salary will be commensurate with experience and education level. In addition, Light Age currently offers benefits including medical insurance, 401K, and stock option plans. Compensation may be supplemented by cash or stock option bonuses based on individual performance and company growth.
